Tua Tagovailoa came into the game as the conductor of one of the top offenses in the NFL. Joe Mixon ran in the first touchdown of the game in to cap off a nine play drive. The last time Burrow was in Paycor Stadium he threw four interceptions in Week 1, that would not be the case this week. With more protection and more time to let receivers develop their routes, Burrow marched the Bengals down the field for an opening possession touchdown. Bengals waste no time getting into end zone There offense had struggled in the first few games and Burrow was sacked a league high 15 time coming into Week 4, but the offensive line did a much better job protecting their gun slinger against the Dolphins. Joe Burrow and the Bengals were eager to come out in front of their home fans and make amends for the last performance they gave at their home stadium when they turned it over five times, and lost in overtime to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This would be a big statement win for whoever came out of Paycor Stadium victorious. Miami came into the game looking like the best team in the league over the first three weeks, while the Bengals struggled to follow up their Super Bowl appearance in the first couple games of the season. It was Allens’ third TD, and it proved to be the game winner after a few mistakes from Allen almost cost the Bills the game. With great field position it took five plays for Allen to find Cole Beasley to take the lead back late in the third quarter.īuffalo would add to their lead on their next possession and with a Gabe Davis TD reception with 2:07 to go in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 34-24. On 3rd and 19 Thompson took a shot down the field and it was intercepted by Kaiir Elam. Thompson handled himself well, going for 220 and a TD, but his second interception of the game was a killer. On the first play of the Dolphins first defensive possession in the second half Allen was strip sacked and Zach Sieler scooped the fumble and scored it to give Miami their first lead of the day. The Bills got a late field goal before the break to take the lead back and deflate the wind out of the Dolphins sails, or so it seemed. Thompson would make no mistake after the big defensive play, hitting Mike Gesicki for a 7 yard TD and then tie tied the game up with a two point conversion to Tyreek Hill. Javon Holland’s pick on Allen’s second INT gave the Dolphins a chance to tie the game up with under a minute to go in the second quarter. Miami were in scoring position but settled for three field goals to chip away at the 17-0 lead the Bills had accumulated. Allen hit Dawson Knox on a 6 yard TD to open the scoring, and then the Bills defense picked off Dolphins third string quarterback Skylar Thompson to get the Dolphins off to a nightmare start.įour plays later it was James Cook doubling the lead on a 12 yard touchdown run ten minutes into the first quarter.Īfter going 14-0, the Dolphins defense turned things around, forcing Buffalo into a three and out and picking off Josh Allen twice in the next three possessions. ![]() The Bills jumped out to a 14-0 lead, after Allen and the Buffalo offense came out of the gates rolling.
